Maslon is pleased to be named a finalist for the 2012 Minnesota Business Ethics Award. The Minnesota Business Ethics Award (MBEA), is co-sponsored by the Minnesota Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, the Center for Ethical Business Cultures at St. Thomas, and The Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, and recognizes Minnesota businesses that have exemplified and promoted ethical conduct for the benefit of the workplace, the marketplace, the environment and the community.
"Maslon is honored to be selected for this award. Business ethics matter to Maslon—it matters to our clients, it matters to our lawyers and staff, and it certainly matters to our community," said attorney David Herr, partner in Maslon's Litigation Group, who attended the award luncheon. "We are pleased to be recognized for this fundamental and important value of our Firm."
Nominations for the MBEA are made by clients, customers, employees, vendors or private citizens who are impressed by the company's demonstration of ethical business conduct. Companies that are nominated must complete a submission and provide documentation of "ethics-in-action" at their company. Entries are judged by panels comprised of business practitioners and business ethicists from regional colleges and universities.
Now in its 13th year, the MBEA has recognized 38 Minnesota-based businesses, ranging in size from less than 10 employees to more than 150,000, that have exemplified ethical business conduct and practices.
